Smithsonian team is conducting their 15th Annual Photo Contest on their page. The team is providing an opportunity to all photographers who are 18 years old or older. This is an International photography competition where any photographers can participate and win grand prizes or other prizes. The team has divided this competition into total 6 categories where any candidates can choose their category or submit their best entry.
Smithsonianmag Annual Photo Contest – Chance to Win Cash Prizes
This is the 15th Annual Photo Contest started by the Smithsonianmag team. To enter in the competition, any candidates have to share their photograph which must have been shot by the entrant since January 1, 2015. Any interested and eligible candidates can share their entry online. A candidates can share total 15 photographs per category for a total of 90 submissions. Any entry must be submitted in .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format at least 2,000 pixels wide and no larger than 10 MB.

Categories:
1. Natural World: Animals, plants, and landscapes
2. Travel: Locales, peoples or activities
3. People: Portraits and photos of groups or individuals.
4. The American Experience: Events, objects or activities connecting the American people
5. Altered Images: Photographs manipulated for artistic purposes
6. Mobile: Any photograph taken with a mobile device (phone or tablet).
Last Date: November 30, 2017, at 5:00 PM
Prizes:
– Grand Prize: $2,500 Cash Prizes
– Category Winners: six categories will receive $500
– Readers’ Choice: online Readers’ Choice award will receive $500

After the Annual Photo Contest 2017, the team will select 10 finalists per category. These all 60 finalists will be notified by the end of February 2018 and will appear in spring 2018.
